About the artist

Monica O’Neill is an artist who specializes in clean, HD-ready, on-trend makeup in the New York area. Growing up in a multicultural, gender-neutral home in Manhattan, makeup was an fascination. But it was for “others”—women, Queens, the bold and the magical. Her focus was on creating through light and sound, and a lot of collaboration, working in technical theater before, during, and after college.

As a technical theater wiz, she helped bring people’s stories and artistic vision into reality, and when she began to learn the role that makeup played in that process, she was immediately enamored. Since attending Make-Up Designory in 2015, she has worked both in production and retail to help people achieve their visions. Whether designing a creature or finding the color palette that will make you feel like the ethereal being you know you are inside, the one thing she wants to do is make that magic real for everyone she works with.
